In a not too unexpected statement, Huffington Post reporter Ryan Grim documented that “something like 54 private jets” showed up at a private resort off the coast of Georgia with a special emphasis of stopping Donald Trump from acquiring the Republican nomination for president.
Grim initially reported:
Billionaires, tech CEOs and top members of the Republican establishment flew to a private island resort off the coast of Georgia this weekend for the American Enterprise Institute’s annual World Forum, according to sources familiar with the secretive gathering.
The main topic at the closed-to-the-press confab? How to stop Republican front-runner Donald Trump.
Apple CEO Tim Cook, Google co-founder Larry Page, Napster creator and Facebook investor Sean Parker, and Tesla Motors and SpaceX honcho Elon Musk all attended. So did Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), political guru Karl Rove, House Speaker Paul Ryan, GOP Sens. Tom Cotton (Ark.), Cory Gardner (Colo.), Tim Scott (S.C.), Rob Portman (Ohio) and Ben Sasse (Neb.), who recently made news by saying he “cannot support Donald Trump.”
Along with Ryan, the House was represented by Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Fred Upton (Mich.), Rep. Kevin Brady (Texas) and almost-Speaker Kevin McCarthy (Calif.), sources said, along with leadership figure Cathy McMorris Rodgers (Wash.), Budget Committee Chairman Tom Price (R-Ga.), Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (Texas) and Diane Black (Tenn.).
My oh my, indeed, the typical suspects.
Needless to say, the meeting was for that annual World Forum, which happens to be a conference that has been hosted somewhat secretively since 1982 by the American Enterprise Institute.
To make sure that Grim was not supposing too much, neo-conservative Bill Kristal of The Weekly Standard supposedly wrote in an emailed statement from the conference, “A specter was haunting the World Forum-the specter of Donald Trump. There was much unhappiness about his emergence, a good deal of talk, some of it insightful and thoughtful, about why he’s done so well, and many expressions of hope that he would be defeated.”
Then Kristol included these words, “The key task now, to once again paraphrase Karl Marx, is less to understand Trump than to stop him. In general, there’s a little too much hand-wringing, brow-furrowing, and fatalism out there and not quite enough resolving to save the party from nominating or the country electing someone who simply shouldn’t be president.”
Grim proceeded to report, “Federal Aviation Administration records available onFlightAware.com show that a fleet of private jets flew into and out of two small airports near Sea Island this weekend. Fifty-four planes flew out of the airport on St. Simons Island, Georgia, on Sunday – nearly four times as many as departed from the airport the previous Sunday. ”
He communicated this to CNN on Tuesday, also.
Should this shock anyone? The GOP is scared of losing their power to Donald Trump. This is why they sent out waterboy liberal Mitt Romney, a two time loser, to assault Trump. David Hodges is convinced that Romney’s pitiful and hypocritical comments were a veiled assassination threat against Trump. ( I would greatly consider the source on that LOL)
Nevertheless, I just want to emphasize, all of you who believe the GOP is the political messiah party that these individuals have employed this kind of process for a long time. Lately, they behaved in a similar manner against 2012 presidential candidate Ron Paul. Recall how the party opened in prayer to Jesus Christ and then nominated a polytheist who does not believe the Jesus Christ is God, but rather the spirit brother of Lucifer? Recall how the party then behaved in a similar manner to the DNC as they scripted the vote to change the rules to shut out the people’s voice? Recall how they stole delegates from Ron Paul? You don’t? Go back and read Cynthia Kennedy’s pieces to point out the shenanigans that happened during the coronation of Mitt Romney.
Whereas I am not able to in good conscience help any of the GOP candidates (two are constitutionally ineligible and one has questionable character and track record) or either of the Democrat candidates, the GOP is getting precisely what it ought to get. They have been promoting progressives, socialists and communists for decades at this point. The truth is, following Trump’s wins on Tuesday in Mississippi and Michigan, Doug Wead organized the following ways the GOP establishment will now try to stop him:
Cruz, Rubio, Kasich and Romney will interact personally with each other to help block Trump outsiders at major County and State conventions.
The RNC Rules Committee will in all likelihood alter the rules back to a 5 state requirement needed to put a name in nomination at the Convention.
Make certain that you possess your own people selected as delegates to the convention.
The location of the caucus that selects the real delegates who go to the district or state convention could abruptly alter without your knowledge.
The time of the meeting could abruptly switch.
The chairman could declare “Ayes have it,” even if they don’t.
Off duty law enforcement could arrest and detain your newly elected Donald Trump GOP officers.
Precinct, County, State leaders could charge a last minute tax.
If the Caucus Chairman is replaced or does not favor the outcome of the vote they could abruptly declare the process invalid. For instance, they could claim that the new chairman is a Trump partisan and therefore it is now a Trump event and the GOP insurance for the event is invalid and thus the meeting is ended.
State Conventions will put together ballots misspelling Trump and then later discount them in the voting for those pledged delegates.
Bogus ballots will be distributed listing establishment names as the official Trump delegates, perplexing the voters.
Counting the ballots at the numerous conventions will be an exhausting business with hindrances, postponements until the next day, seals broken on the voting boxes, and a variety of artifice.
They may cancel the voting because of weather in a major precinct that is heavily Trump, throwing the State.
At convention you could discover hotel rooms cancelled. And other rooms may be bugged.
When you depart the RNC do not believe it’s over.
Do not believe these things can take place, these things and more happened to the Ron Paul campaign in 2012.
