Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick instructed school superintendents definitely not to “obey” President Barack Obama’s transgender bathroom policy.

Including that the state will “not be blackmailed by the federal government.”

Friday, the Obama Administration sent guidelines to public schools statinghthat the schools can’t discriminate towards transgender students.

Here is one of the sentances written in the letter, the letter, “When a school provides sex-segregated activities and facilities, transgender students must be allowed to participate in such activities and access such facilities consistent with their gender identity.”

The regulations implies to restrooms, locker rooms, sports teams, fraternities, sororities, housing, and more.

Lt. Governor Patrick called Obama’s guidelines a “huge mistake” that will certainly lead to bullying, yet “not of the transgender kids, the straight kids.”

In addition he said that the ‘new policy’ will be the end of public education.

Simply because this will certainly make parents opt to home-schooling their children or send them to private schools.

Patrick said, “Parents are not going to send their 14-year-old daughters into the shower or the bathroom with 14-year-old boys.’ “It’s not going to happen.”

The lieutenant governor proceeded to go on to say that not enacting the policy will never affect businesses and the economy.

When questioned about musicians canceling concerts simply because of the policy, like it was done in North Carolina by Bruce Springsteen; Lt. Patrick said “big deal, so some artist doesn’t want to come to an area. They’ll fill the date with someone else who does. ” “This will not impact business.” “The business community will figure this out real quick.”

He did not verify whether or not he plans to file a lawsuit towards the federal government.

He did say, that he will continue to talk with the attorney general.
Lt. Governor Patrick ended with, “This is very new.” “We have to talk through this. Let’s be very clear what our position is; we’re not going to be blackmailed by the president and we’re not going to sell out of children for 30 pieces of silver.”
