Hillary Clinton’s State Department halted an investigation into mosque networks, which involved the location where Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen worshipped, because President Obama presumed that it unfairly targeted Muslims, based on a retired Department of Homeland Security agent turned whistleblower.
In his book “See Something, Say Nothing: A Homeland Security Officer Reveals the Government’s Submission to Jihad,” agent Philip Haney stated that “within a few months, the case drew the ‘concern’ of the State Department and the DHS’s Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Office because the Obama administration believed it unfairly singled out Muslims,”as outlined by WND.
In December, 2015 Haney maintained that the Clinton-led State Department closed an investigation into several mosques, among them, the one visitedby San Bernardino terrorist Syed Farook.
On Sunday, Haney explained to WND that the Florida mosque Mateen visited was also part of that investigation.
Aside from that putting a freeze on the investigation the administration deleted much of the documents related to the case.
“Along with the State Department’s and Department of Homeland Security’s quashing of the case in June 2012, the administration subsequently ordered the deletion of an additional 67 records related to a report on the Institute of Islamic Education,” WND noted.
Nevertheless, when Haney heard the name of the mosque on Sunday he knew it seemed familiar.
“This case struck me as very similar to the San Bernardino shooting case,” he shared with WND. “I suspected that they were both part of a national and international network of organizations.”
He stated that after Sunday’s attack he checked out the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce utilizing open-source information and verified his suspicions, as outlined by WND.
How many more continue to be hubs for radical jihadists?
