The Fourth of July fireworks spectacular from Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom – Celebrate America – July 3, 2016
On the subject of the Fourth of July, there are so many great fireworks displays and themed forms of entertainment to appreciate all around the country. Some cities and states do not permit fireworks to be bought and fired off, as they are illegal, but there are other stuff to do and see. For those that are going to be in Orlando this weekend, there will be a lot of great and exciting things to witness at Walt Disney World as they salute America.
For those not in Orlando and at the Disney Parks, you will not miss out as there will also be a live stream online for everyone to witness the massive fireworks on Monday night.
Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will each have a grand closing to the night on Monday as the Fourth of July comes to an end. Even though Disney’s Animal Kingdom is currently staying open later, it will not have any kind of fireworks for the obvious reason of the presence of the animals.
As for the other three parks, here is the full Fourth of July 2016 entertainment schedule that will essentially start on Sunday, July 3.
July 3, 2016: 9 a.m. – 1 a.m. with Extra Magic Hours of 1 a.m. – 3 a.m.
July 4, 2016: 8 a.m. – 1 a.m.
At 9 p.m., on both nights, Magic Kingdom will present “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” These 360-degree fireworks will light up the night from behind Cinderella Castle and all around.
If you are not in Walt Disney World this weekend, do not worry. The Disney Parks Blog is going to live-stream the Magic Kingdom fireworks on Monday night. Viewers can click this link and at 8:50 p.m. ET, a new blog post will appear to show the fireworks as they occur.
Disney has done this type of thing before, and it is typically met with a lot of positive attention.
July, 2016: 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Epcot will have a number of activities taking place throughout the day as The Voices of Liberty will sing at 12:30 p.m., 1:45 p.m., and 3 p.m. in the America Gardens Theatre. They will have two more performances at 4:15 p.m. and 5 p.m. in The American Adventure Rotunda.
The Spirt of America Fife & Drum Corps will also return for one-day only to perform outside the America pavilion at 1 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4 p.m., and 4:45 p.m.
To shut down the night, Illuminations will take place at 10 p.m., and it will have an amazing climax. Ending the show will be the “Heartbeat of Freedom” grand finale which is an outstanding tribute to America, but this will only take place on Monday night.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
July 4, 2016: 9 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Typically, Disney’s Hollywood will have something known as the “Rockin’ 4th of July Celebration,” but not this year. The brand new Star Wars-themed show called “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” will air as normal at 9:30 p.m. on Monday night.
It is an amazing trip through the Star Wars saga with fireworks, music, lasers, and projections onto the Great Movie Ride and surrounding buildings. The spectacular really is a fantastic event and worthwhile of being a Fourth of July celebration.
Walt Disney World truly does go all out for the holidays each year and Fourth of July 2016 will be no different. With major celebrations taking place at three of the four major theme parks and the live stream taking place for everyone at home, it’s going to be extremely exciting. Celebrate America in fantastic fashion with this entertainment schedule so you do not miss a single thing whether you are in Orlando or in the comfort of your living room.
